I began my journey by earning a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Western Kentucky University in 2012. During my time at WKU, I was an athlete competing in football and track & field. I became an International Sports Science Association (ISSA) Certified Personal Trainer in 2009. Studying Exercise Science at Western Kentucky University, I gained the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized exercise prescriptions to a variety of people and special needs. I learned how to strategically design exercise programs for athletes at all levels and individuals of all ages.

My professional ambition is to contribute to the health and well-being of others. I am a dedicated personal trainer willing to inspire and provide encouragement to individuals to reach their short and long-term goals. I understand how busy today’s society has become, that is why I will personally guide you to become efficient and safe while working out; earning optimal results in a condensed amount of time.
My workouts will fluctuate with intensities depending on the phase of training you are going through. I will be in confrontational and in your personal space when you need that motivation to push and challenge you. At times, I will step back, take notes, and watch you do your best, demolishing your own fears and mental barriers.

We will work together as a unit to be productive, consistent, and maintain great work ethic. I whole-heartedly believe I will help you succeed, reach, and then maintain your optimal goals. Join me and earn the healthy lifestyle and body you deserve. I believe anything is possible within reason. It all comes down to “How bad do you really want it?”

At six years old I began playing baseball, I never thought this would give me interests in the world of health and fitness later in my life. I played baseball for 10 years, played tennis through Jr. and Sr. high school, and practiced with my sister’s track and cross-country team for many years. I can't tell you how many times I said "I hate running," in which all of the listed activities above were surrounded by. During my sophomore year of high school, I began going to the weight room with some football buddies. Being tall and lanky, and known as the "tennis player," it was intimidating working out with the football players. This is when I met Ryan Schrink. He was New Albany High School’s strength and conditioning coach. Through time I got to know Ryan and we worked out together for a couple years, leading me to be very interested within the field of health and fitness. This drove me to want to learn more about the body, and how movement and exercise could change physical appearance and health.

In 2013, I obtained my Bachelors of Science Degree in Health and Human Performance with a focus in Exercise Physiology from the University of Louisville. Soon after graduating in May, I also became a Certified Personal Trainer with the American College of Sports Medicine. (ACSM)

With the knowledge I have learned in my studies, and the information and training you will receive, I want you to know that a healthier and more-fit "You" is very attainable. I will work with you to reach the health and fitness goals that you want. I will be there to motivate you when most needed. I will push your limitations to the next level. Together, I want to help you reach your goals. Once reached, I want you to strive for higher and greater goals. Programs will be designed based on gender, age, ability, and goals. I will prescribe what is best suitable to help you reach each and every goal.

My personal motto/quote is "Lift it, Live it, Love it!"

Personal Training became a passion of mine after I battled with obesity. In 2009, I was sitting in my doctor’s office weighing in at 235lbs, dealing with high blood pressure, insomnia, and other health issues when he told me that I was killing myself and that I needed a major wake up call. It was a hard thing to hear but I appreciated his honesty and caring effort to help me. After that visit, I set out on a mission to get my life under control. I spent an entire year retraining my eating habits and adding workouts to my daily to-do lists. At the end of the year I had lost 100lbs by eating nutritious food and working out regularly. Best part is, all of the underlying health issues the doctor was treating me for resolved themselves. At that point I knew I wanted to help others get healthier & live better.

In 2011, I was hired on at the Clark County YMCA as a Wellness coach. I spent the years following being trained & learning hands on how to help individuals of different fitness levels change their lives through fitness programs & healthy lifestyle choices. In 2012, I became a certified Livestrong Instructor helping cancer survivors from the diagnoses, through treatment, & recovery get active again. In 2013, I became a certified personal trainer (NSCA) & took over the personal training program at the Clark County YMCA.

I have spent countless hours inside the gym helping people of all fitness levels transform their lives. I’m very passionate about my job. I have the knowledge, drive, & determination to help you achieve your goals. I will design workouts specifically to meet your needs. I will be with you every step of the way to motivate you, guide you & equip you with the tools to obtain the change you desire.

My fitness journey did not hit full throttle until the completion of my high school education. Although, I was a very active person growing up. I played baseball, football, and even ran long distance track for a year in high school. I still was never looked at as the weight lifter or super athlete.

Life began to change for the better toward my high school graduation from Floyd Central in 2013. I enlisted into the US Army Reserve and completed six months of intense training in the harsh winter of Missouri. The physical and mental demands were like nothing I have ever experienced before. And you best believe I did love every second of it and it was the kickstart to what I am achieving today.

I first began to get my feet wet in personal training at the Planet Fitness near Indiana University Southeast, where I currently attend in pursuit of a business degree. I obtained my first personal training certification from ExpertRating and trained clients at PF for a year and a half. During this time, I knew I wanted a more challenging route with more success. I then completed my second certification through the American Council of Excercise (ACE) while still training at PF full time and attending school full time.

I have talked to Ryan at the local gyms and built a professional relationship with him. This has now lead me to the opportunity to be apart of the Schrink Personal Training team.

I am fully aware of the different obstacles and challenges that life throws at you. With my experiences and my knowledge, I can assure you that I will help you reach the goals you have set for yourself. I take great pride in my dedication to help my clients. I go to great lengths to explain “why” and “how” everything works while doing a particular program to make you feel as comfortable as possible. I have worked with clients from all demographics and I am very knowledgeable with providing the right program to help you specifically. I will never use a “cookie-cutter” program with you. I will strive to understand your physical responses during training and use what works best for you. Whether you are just beginning your fitness journey or are in search of a new path, my goal is to have you leave every session knowing one or more things you didn’t know about excercise before. The learning never stops, I will strive to be your greatest trainer, coach, and mentor during the entire
